Suzuki GS650 series.
The engine is 673cc
Suzuki GS650E was only made for 2 years.
81 GS650EX. 2 colours, of white Blue and a Red
82 GS650EZ, Black, (light metal flake),/Red. This is my Bike. Low Klm, (13,400 klm), not miles, Canadian import to NZ
82, also came in a blue
They were a bit of an oddball machine. Chain drive and roller bearing crank. Considered a sports model
Also they produced a GS 650G or GT between 81/82/83 depending on the market in the US or Europe (classed as a tourer), a more pronounced kick up for the pasenger seat, had shaft drive and shell bearing crank.
GS650GL Custom, 81-83, shaft drive same engine as the G model
Also a GS 650M Katana. 83, Shaft drive with the same engine a the G/GT model
The 81 GS650EX and 82 GS650EZ chain drive did a 12.7 sec standing 1/4mle. This was the same as the earlier GS750's
Have to fight over the standing 1/4 time as MCS has them doing 12.7 and the chart is 12.83
Shaft drive models, (according to MCS), do a 13.2 Standing 1/4
A lot of the Chain drive roller bearing crank GS650E engine's top end, (Barrels, pistons and head), were grafted on to earlier GS550's; (roller bearing cranks as well), a bolt straight in conversion with a small amount of the crank case removed to accommodate the 650 sleeves. This increased the CC from 550 to 673 + the 550 has a 6 speed gearbox to the 650's 5 speed.
Some would bore the 550/650 or their 650's to a 740cc, (max without re-sleeving),
But wait there is more..............if you ring in within the next 5 min you will also receive..................................
