my front forks are really tight, how do i fix this?

first make sure that your front wheel has the correct spacer and the tach drive is aligned in its slot. If that checks out, drain the oil and flush the forks, then refill with the correct 10w oil.

loosen the axle see if the fork action improves. then remove the wheel completely, see how the tubes look side by side with no wheel. Then you better pull the tubes and check everything for straightness. Include the lower triple in your checks. It's possible a PO replaced tubes but left a bent triple. Odds are rather high there was an accident in your bikes past and something is bent. The good news is that parts are available and cheap.
