My timing chain wont go back on

Hello, dumb question. I am putting my engine back together and im back to the point where i put my timing chain back on but i keep coming up one tooth short on it. Is it supposed to strech cause im sure i have all of it unkinked down below so im sure its flush. So, if someone can enlighten me that would be great.

I used a continuous chain on mine and it was VERY tight. Keeping that in mind here's what I did: Took out the tensioner and removed the bearings on the cam. After I fought the chain onto the cam I wrestled the bearings back into place.

its back together now idk how but everything worked out haha thanks yall
