A quick couple coats of the Sand color on the frame in the outside booth.Wanted this color to contrast w/the 75b colors that I’ll use later for the tank, seat and home-fabbed sidecar.Lotta fab and scratches ahead. It’ll all be repainted towards the end inside.Yep,it is a 72 frame.✅

Unsure of what the final front end I’ll use.At this time I’m staying with the original 72 from the frame. I’m going to remove and rework and preserve the original front end and components regardless. I need to keep the project a roller.Trying to use what I have here left.Help please;Frame neck depth:70-73 =6.5 ? 74 further until 79 =7.5 ? I’ll look back through old threads,I know it’s here.Any quick tip of the thread or threads,TYIA.

I believe @DogBunny has a thread on the differences on the front end over the years. Maybe look at his threads...

The 75b colors are going to work with the “Sand” color.🎨.Lots of discarded cookie sheet spray outs.

As I recall from older pictures, this 72 was one of those “I’ll find the title and get it to you promises”.It was 09,still waiting, imagine that.Time to go through the lengthy process and get a title as I intend to make this project a keeper.Got the first of the painting done this weekend and it’s a easy roller.Starting to fab the Sidecar frame and have it a roller as well and then onto the mounting components.

If you don't try, you'll never know...

Putting an empty parts/display 447 motor together.Doing some paint, blast abrasives and polishing tests on this before I get into the motor I’ll use for the bike.Been many moons since going the full route making a disassembled motor all pretty again.Yep I’m rusty.

Yeah, rattle can tech has come a long way over the years. Nowadays they're 'bout as good as any...
Remember what it was like trying to get a good rattle can finish, say 30yrs ago?

I definitely remember!🎨😜

The 72 frame accepted the Radian swingarm nicely.Shock mounting changes later. The 79 16” rear wheel has lots of room.Tightners and a wider spacer when chain alignment takes place. And yes, that frame color has to go!Happy,Happy this is gonna work.😁
