Your vin no's match an XS2. cant be a 73TX.

The tank, gas cap and seat for a 73TX are a different shape compared to the earlier models, the gas cap was continued on the 74TXA and 75XSB.

Any brochures and pics i have of the Euro XS2's have the same tail-light as the XS1. The US red and white XS2's have the round tail-light

Iv'e seen plenty of UK XS2's in the Orange/Black colours but never seen that Red/Black you have shown above, it looks stunning.

Wow, I never realized those colors were out there for the XS2 in the UK. I like my US red / white, but the black does add something different. I like them. I also noted that the turn signals are mounted on the headlight vs the US models that had a bracket from the fork tubes. I also have a few Z1900's and the UK models are a little different also.

It is an XS2 (however someone has changed the colour to XS1B / XS1F).

I also noticed that the petcocks are from a later model but that is a minor thing.

There are at least 4 colour schemes for the XS2 worldwide.
I have the "pearl yellow gold / black" scheme.

Very rare. I think only a handful were sold in Australia at the end of the run (after everything was sold out).

i actually have a new black side cover with the part number tag in my stockpile.
