Just started my chopper project. Actually all I have is the motor but I guess you have to start somewhere.
I gave it a good degreasing and started to soda blast the fins. You can see the small area I did in the photo. Slow going but it works. My blaster is home made from this site.

Not sure if I'll actually get the motor in "show" condition but if I can at least get the top end clean and the cases polished I'll be satisfied.
Next stop is an Ardcore frame (4" stretch, 2" backbone stretch, 36 degree rake) a DNA springer and a 21" front wheel.
God only know how long it will take be to finish it but I'll keep at it little by little.
