New to the site, but this will be the second build for me. First is my 69' CB750 chop that is all but buttoned up. Hardtailed roller ready for the engine after some go fast parts. Now I've gotten ahold of the 72' xs650. I love these bikes. Can't wait to get my grubby pawls all over it. Pretty much going to be low and lean.
Anyone point me in the right direction for engine info. I started searching and found quite a bit on the 74+ xs650 engine builds, kits, big bore. 447, rephase? Do the early years have a different rod and stroke? Is there a way to build a 72'? Just wondering what my options are for this 650. Any help would be appreciated
