I'm lookin to put a 200 rear tire on my xs. Does anyone know were to get an offset sprocket that's not 400 bucks or how to make one.

If you do it your self you need 2 sprokets, little bit of tube, welding gears and lathe! And skills to use them properly.

Ive seen it done both ways, Gary Pohs kit is expensive, ardcore sells a jackshaft but its around $300 i think

other option is only going to a 180mm and getting an offset sprocket for less $$. I think I know a place that makes them..

There is a company called SPROCKET SPECIALIST and they use to make me offsets for drag bikes BUT!!!! 200 tire you still have to make a plate for cover and to be hounest the kit for $400.00 is worth every penny. By the time yorun around and get all the parts you are at $400.00. I use them all the time and they bolt right up.Jackshafts are good too but if not built right they come apart at high speeds. You have two chains pulling in two different directions. If you are going to sell it why go threw thw hassle. Just put 130 on and call it a day. I just finished a 200 tire frame yesterday and owner ordered kit. Don't mess with MICKIE MOUSE stuff if you are selling it some come back and bite you in the ass. I won't build a complete 200 bike without that kit it works very good and safe.

Really you guys like the skinny rear. Maybe I'll build this one with the skinny rear. Adcore I still never got your email to setup an account with you.

More power to ya if you can do it, I just haven't seen to many xs chops that sold for 5 grand. Then again I dont get out much so I could be very wrong:shrug:

Yeah why? Everything is going to be brand new on the bike.

People pay about 70% of the cost of parts once installed, so "everything new" doesn't mean much more to buyers... Trust me on that one... People pay more for "Shiny" and something styled properly. Appearance will sell more than a pile of new parts...
