so I just installed the pamco ignition system, all the videos are saying put 2 bushings in right side, 1 left. my engine is a 77, and it had the advance and everything installed already. it has 2 bushings on both sides.. is that ok? or should I pull one out on the left side.

thanks,
Rob

apox,

Two bushings per side with one brass and the other steel is what comes from the factory. The recommendation for 2 on the right, both brass, and 1 on the left is primarily for 1980 to 1983 engines which come from the factory without the bushings because it is less likely that you will install the brass bushings incorrectly and cause the advance rod to bind. The PAMCO rotor that takes the place of the points cam does not have any torque applied to it as there is no physical contact with anything, so there is no need for the extra bushings.

Short answer. You're fine with the factory setup.
