Can it be pressed out or do I need a machine shop to do this? I'm trying to use the press at my work when I'm on lunch. I need the stem off my xs650 for my front end swap. The one from my donor bike slid right out (ninja 600) but the xs650 one isn't quite as easy.. Any tricks or tips? Or does it even just slide out? Just need a quick answer while I'm on my lunch break, thanks!!

Supposedly they just slide (press) out but it looks like you still have some weld left on there (right side).

I've never actually done this, just read about it. I think someone who has done it is going to have to chime in here.

A 4 1/2" wheel in an angle grinder makes enough of a dish that a BFH and a steel rod will drive it out. I have done a couple or three that way.

I had a machine shop turn mine on a lathe and pressed out.
