seat pan

Go to your local hardware store and buy some sheet metal and start cutting and bending. Figure out a way to attach it to your frame. Then go to a craft store and buy some foam, or better yet some neoprene padding. Glue it to your pan, shape with a turkey carving knife and rasp. Then cover. I know that's a pretty brief description of the process. Do some searches here, google, and youtube. Lots of info out there.
Here's a link to get you started. This shop is near me and they do great work.

Hi Xsvirgin,
if you don't fancy making a sheetmetal seat pan, think about fiberglass.
Make yourself a base out of corrugated cardboard and duct tape.
Cover it both sides with one layer of mat and one layer of cloth so the cardboard is trapped inside.
It's a poorboy copy of the way they build spacecraft.
BTW, that shit'll kill you if you breathe enough of the fumes and the glass will itch you to death.
Wear rubber gloves and a tyvek suit and use a disposable cartridge breathing mask.

Thank you weekend rider it was exactly what I was looking for. I have ordered one and look forward to getting my seat made.
