How about we start a thread showing off our fabrication skills. Maybe even share some fab tips and tricks.

I made this brake pivot out of an old mercedes water pump and some steel plate.

a couple shots of the intake manifold and fuel rail for my bike:

The whole bike is essentially a giant fabrication project. It'll run soon I promise!

Well, I don't have much fabrication ability per se, but I suppose I have an occasional success at "repurposing" other materials meet a specific need on my bike. Hope that's appropriate for this thread too, as the "repurposing" almost always involves some cutting or similar adaptation/alteration of parts to serve a functional or cosmetic purpose. Here are a few shots of:

1. some automotive/hot rod parts that I adapted to create a cold air induction system for my recent single carb conversion, along with modifying the left side cover to accommodate it; and

2. an automotive chrome coil cover that I adapted and dressed to serve as a shroud to cover the right runner of a 2-into-one intake, and tastefully fill the space where the right carb used to be.

I'm not as talented as some of the guys on here, but I made a lot of bits for this car when I was working at the restoration shop, including the jig the car is sitting on. All the coolant tubes from the engine to the radiator, brake lines, all the braided steel lines, the door striker brackets, oil cooler mounts. It was a lot of work, because it had to look original. We had to work from period photos. I also rebuilt the engine and transmission.

Ive never even thought of building a bike until 6 monthes ago. I made the fake oil tank out of a fire extingiusher I left the charge gauge on there for humor. my rear brake pivot base is made from a pitman arm off a 97' f-250. I made my rear fender out of a boat trailer fender. This is all basic stuff to alot of you guys but im new at this bike building thing.
