Hi folks,
Have been having a peculiar problem lately. I take off on a ride and my shifter sticks when shifting into 2nd. This has happened several times lately. It doesn't take much to get rid of the problem, just pull the clutch and tap the shifter lightly back down, and that's it for the day. It works fine all day, just first time thru the gears it sticks on 2nd, kinda like someone is holding the shifter up. Trans shifts fine, no weird noises or anything else. Recently took a couple thousand mile trip, not one sign of trouble on the trip. The next morning, kicked it to life, 1st then 2nd, it sticks, give the shifter a tap then thru the rest of the gears, worked great all day. Any ideas ???

Thanks for your time

John

Sometimes, its because its dirty and needs lube where the shift shaft comes through the outer cover. Take it off and clean and lube.

could the shift springs on the shift shaft on the clutch side be loosing tension? im aware it doesnt do it all the time, but try to make those springs tighter the next yime your in the rite side.
