Switch Clutch Side

I ordered and received new switch control for lights, signal etc. received it today and they look good but at the bottom of the control is another button with “P” on it. My 72 XS650 does not have this, I’m wondering what it’s for. I ordered this for a 72 so I’m not sure why I received this. Any info will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Maybe it's the Euro version with the "Pass" switch? It flashes your high beam to signal a driver in front of you that you want to pass them.
