The CX is gonna need new sneakers (duh...) and that brings up a question or two.
The current rear (which I suspect is OEM judging by condition and looking at pictures in the WSM) is a 140/90-15. It's the typical "big 'n little" Special Cruiser look and I'm not a fan. I'd like to put a narrower tire on it, but not sure what I can get away with on that rim. Being as it's the cast rim I'm pretty much locked into the 15" category.
With the riveted Comstar rims, you can swap out a bigger rim from a Goldwing onto the CX hub and go with a taller/narrower tire.
How narrow a tire would you suspect I could get away with on the stock rim?
