trying to beat ebay countdown, plz help

Hey again guys,

I need to know if a 78 or 79 cam will fit straight in a 77 motor with no mucking around? And will a 72s auto advance brass backing plate fit in the 77 too. Im need to know before the auction ends. Can't get these easily or at these prices in australia.

The cam should not be a problem at all. The plate I'm not sure. The biggest changes in XS650s was from 72-73.
