I got a little more done today - Got the fuel lines fathomed out and fitted up, I will order some spring clips, although the fuel pipes are pretty tight - we wouldnt want one popping off. Main thing - no leaks and good fuel flow
Had a little issue with the electrics - Randomly the headlight would blow a fuse?? So with my intrepid multi meter, we tracked the fault down to being the tiny lamp in the speedo. During transit the holder had popped of its clip inside and was dangling next to the casing, earthing itself when it felt like it or the bike moved - little bastard
Once that was put to bed I ran the bike again a few times (note the blued pipes ) It seems to want a bit of choke to keep running, however I am not too bothered at present - I need to order new diaphragms for the carbs and they'll need re-jetting, setting up properly etc etc. All I wanted to do was to ensure it ran, before I started on the engine tear down.
