Trying to read up all I can about wheels etc. I am using wire wheels on my build. For the rear I am using a standard hub with a 36 spoke chromed steel rim. I am now Desperatley seeking a front wheel. The front end I am using is from a 1980 so its 35mm forks so I gather I need to look for a wire wheel from a 77 and up so that I get the right offset for the brake rotor.

So my question is does such a thing as a 19 inch chromed steel rim 77 or later 36 spoke wheel exist?

If so where does one purchase one of these beasts? Is this some kind of super rare part or am I looking up the ass of a dead dog?

Any advice on this one would be greatly appreciated. :banghead: Ian.

You can go as old as '73. For the older wheel, you simply swap your new disc onto it, the mount holes are the same. '73, '80, & '81 were the only years with 36 spoke chrome steel rims and hubs that will accept your disc. The '73-'75 TX/XS500 also used them and they should fit as well.
