where does this wire go?

I have a new main wiring harness for my 79xs650, took the old one off months ago and I cannot for the life of me remember where this went! It's up near the coils, looks like it would go under a nut or something...

Looks like a ground. Maybe the horn.

I remember seeing that one (before I took my bike apart). I think the upper motor mount bolt held it in place.

And, I agree. I think it's a ground for something.

Yes. Ground wire, under one of the upper motor mount bolts.

Yes, it is a ground and was originally under the left rear coil mount .....

There is another separate ground wire that runs from one of the condenser pack mounting screws on the left upper motor mount to the right side of the front upper engine mount bolt .....

Brilliant! thanks all. All I knew was it's a ground wire. 5twins, that was spot on... low and behold I checked and the nut on left coil was loosened from where I removed the ground wire months ago
