Wow, those pics go back quite a few years!
Unfortunately the white resin ones (and molds) are long gone, and I no longer have the jigs I used to make the aluminum letters with. Attached are some pics of what I do have left.
I only ever made one set of tank badges entirely out of aluminum, and those are presently on my bike.
Sorry,
Resto

BTW, If I had a choice back then, I would have gone the 3D printer route.

If I had the files, I could print some. Anybody know where to get the 3D .stl files?
It wouldn't be that hard to create. I mean, the link I shared above makes a logo very similar to Resto's second image above (mine are less hand-drawn looking, which is a minus, as I created them using a "standard" font). I might take a crack at reproducing his designs as well. If you're cool with that, of course, Resto... don't want to step on your toes here.

For what it's worth, here's the lettering template I made for the badges, and pretty much hand bent thin aluminum strips to match as close as I could.
I don't think I could take my existing (aluminum) badges off without damaging the paint on the tank. I look around to see what it would cost to have them scanned while on the tank though.

Thought about it so more, and I think that a good starting point would be to find a 3D printing file for the real Triumph badges (or scan some real ones) and print them out. The curve is quite a bit different from the Yamaha tank, so the printed model would have to be heated and shaped to the Yamaha curve. That could then be scanned for the final product. Off course, the lettering would have to be changed to Yamaha, probably the best way to do it would be to print a separate insert panel. That would give the opportunity to have a white background and then print silver lettering on it.

The thing is, getting a decent reproduction (not an exact clone, but a look-alike part) won't even require a 3D scanner. A good 2D SVG can be extruded into the correct shape. I respect that you created the original metal logo (and it' looks brilliant) but my 3D printed version is on my tank right now... I have experience with doing the 3D version, in other words.

Your version is more detailed and more "crafted" looking, and I honestly love that. So, starting from your photo 2.JPG above, I hacked this out in about half an hour this morning: http://newcenturycomputers.net/temp/Resto's Yamaha Swoosh Logo Outline.svg

Imported into a 3D modeling program, you could extrude it to your preferred height and then add filler at a shorter height; could even use a texture to mimic your metal logo. I'll probably take a crack at that later, but right now I should be doing actual work...

BTW: You don't want to print the logo with the tank curve in it, you want to print it flat and then use a heat gun to "relax" it into place. Trust me, way easier.
