Hey guys, getting to my final stage in my 1981 XS650 project, if I can't find an exhaust, I may have to cut and put an universal muffler pipes on my bike, head pipes are good, mufflers are shot:doh: but which would fit mine from mikesxs?

If your just running with straight header pipes that end somewhere around the foot pegs, can they just be secured at the top, or do you need to somehow clamp or attach them to the frame down below? Thanks, Jeff

My 73 has straight headers with homemade baffles. When you let off the throttle it sounds like a snoring or snort sound. It sounds good when accelerating just annoying on decel. The baffles are short with three bolts that are closely spaced. Could these be the problem?
