FWIW I suffer from postpartum rally depression...and i always say every year that this is my last rally...dont believe it..i'll be back..as long as i can breathe..hopefully next year will be more rider friendly for me..peace out my brothers...
Please keep me up to date. Only 300 mile for me from Ohio. The attendees who signed in were 74 riders, 60 of whom were on vintage bikes. Some others came for a shorter stay, but did not sign in. There must have been 30 XS650's, including a couple hard tails and swing arm bobber, a couple '79 Standards, several '72's, resulting in a good representation of our favorite old bikes.
Plan ahead for next years' 50th anniversary of the XS650, it will be the featured marque at CVMG's annual rally mid June in Paris Ontario as far as Canadian recognition of same.

850 miles 2 stops for gas, pee, and snacks.
5 miles from home 1:30AM there's a car on the shoulder, front end fully on fire, ocasional 10-15' flames, no one there, doors locked, windows black with smoke, front tires both exploded while I was there, started to worry about fuel tank blowing. called 911 waited a while then went home. I was so crispy/foggy it was really bizarre.
Cool compared to Barber where highs hoovered around 100 degrees but a nice fall day and great turn out.

I believe the flathead V8 motorcycle is/was made by Honest Charlie’s Speed Shop in Chattanooga, TN.Is that a flathead V-8 stuck in there? Interesting!
I missed a lot. I went to Florida and just drank beer, went boating and watched the thongs on the beach! Haven't touched my bike since the last day of the Rally.
