The bike runs great with a fresh top end rebuild done while replacing a worn cam chain guide. New pistons, rings, guide, on a standard bore. I have put about 50 miles on the machine since the rebuild and it runs smooth and shifts perfectly. Of course it has been gone over from front to back with caliber rebuilds and new rubber. There is a fresh Virginia title in my name and I really need to move the bike on for the room and to start on a new project. For a member here the asking price is $2000.00 and it is located in South Stafford about mid way between Richmond Virginia and Washington DC. The saga of the rebuild can be followed in this thread and trust me I am not making any money on this one, a great running vintage bike just needs a new home........

You should really change your post to 1979 Yamaha XS650SF, not F. I'd buy it if it was a standard in the condition you have it and I don't even want another m/c.

I'm sure you won't have too much trouble selling it tho.
