83 Suzuki gs850G exhaust

Hello, I have a 1983 Suzuki GS 850g. I'm looking at a used 4-in-1 exhaust off of a GS 1000 1100. The ad doesn't specify the year. I know I need that information but let's say the years are the same or the exhaust systems interchangeable at least the head pipe?
