Anyone from Chicagoland?

So I just moved my hoperation (you see what i did there ) from southern california to Chicago and am now without a garage for the first time in my life. This kind of makes me nervous for my xs being exposed on the streets (theft, winter, etc.). Anyone from Chicagoland have thoughts on owning an xs in Chicago? pros and cons?

I'm going to be in the lakeview/lincoln park area (i know yuppieville). I left my scoot in socal (shipping is = to buying another one). Should I wait until after winter to pick another one up? I'm guessing riding in the winter is suicide.

Lol. I miss riding man! Believe it or not, I happened upon Adam's 73 in a random blog I found while searching for xs650s in Chicago. Definitely a stand-up dude!
