Hey there everyone. I just picked up a new donor bike for my next bobber project.

Its a 1977 xs650 that I picked up in Santa Cruz, CA for $250

It runs but it definitely runs like garbage. The right cylinder smokes and exhaust leaks a little oil. The front brake is not hooked up. No License plate. No turn signals.

It need some TLC to say the least.

Here it is next to the bobber I just finished. It has a temporary plastic yamaha tank while the metal one gets sealed and re-painted. You can see the new bike next to her chopped cousin.

Gonna make this a another bobber but a little less ratty and some more stylistic elements added.

Im thinking copper should be the dominant theme on this next build.
 
Yes they are supposed to. The plate is lost on this one but I have an old black CA plate Im gonna put on there from an older bike. I think I can convince the DMV to let me use it for the plate.
