HI a 79 specal with a pair of 76s 38mm duel throttle cables and a single choke The choke makes no differents..The will idle, but nothing elese untill it gets warned up Anyone else.thanks

76 BS38 carbs were linked carbs and used one throttle cable. If they used two throttle cables they are 75 or earlier.
Any way the enrichener, not a choke. A choke cuts off the air to richen the mix for starting, an enrichener adds fuel to richen the mix.
draws fuel up out of the float bowl through a jet mounted down in the body of the float bowl. If the enrichener isn't working this jet and the passages to and from it are plugged.
Remove float bowls. look down inside and you will see a hole just up off the bottom of the bowl. This is the fuel inlet for the enrichener. This leads to the jet. Straight up from the jet is a passage. You will see the hole in the edge of the float bowl.
Use spray can carb cleaner and spray it in the hole down in the float bowl, the spray should come out the hole in the edge of the bowl.
If it doesn't I use a wire tie off a loaf of bread, strip the cover off one end about 1/2 inch. This leaves a very fine, very soft wire. Use this the probe the hole in the bowl and the passage.
Spray, probe repeat as needed to clear the plug. An air hose from a compressor with a rubber tipped blow gun will help this process.
