I know everybody on this site is doing different builds and one thing everyone has an opinion on is tires. What sizes fit their bike or what tread design they want. When trying to achieve a certain look you can't always use the OE tire size. Many people are using harley, dirtbike, or aftermarket rims that are a completely different sizes. This chart gives you every permittable tire size that fits rims based on the rims measurements. With this you know the tire of your choice will fit the rim or not and the only other worry should be if your going wider and if the wider tire will fit in between the rear swinger or legs of the hardtail.
I know there are few charts on here but this one pretty much covers it all. I hope this helps. Its gonna help me I have a 21" rim being delivered today and a replacement rim for the rear coming in a few days the rear coming is slightly wider than stock (stock is 2.15 replacement is 2.5) but is a direct replacement and gives me a few more choices in tires selection according to this chart. I'm going to post the chart in a response because I began to ramble along.
