Hi all, I picked up a 77 stocker, and it has something on it I have never seen before. Mounted with the horn is a silver box. The P.O. smashed it removing the horn ( so he said ). It is filled with some kinda ceramic stuff. It has a yellow/green wire, and a yellow wire. It says Koito 33911719 on it. What is it ? can I get one ? Can I run without it.
I can't find it in any wiring diagrams I have. My wiring dia, are all for 2F? stuff, and this serial # starts with 447.
Can anyone help ?

It's a resistor. It worked with the reserve lighting unit. When one of the elements burn out in the headlight it lights the other element through the resistor. This lights the element at about 1/2 power. This tells you that the bulb need changing.

Will it still work smashed the way it is ? Can I unplug it from it's connection ? Is this something I can replace ? Can the connection be bridged and run without it ?
