I just finished installing a new front caliper and the top half of it moves a little bit. Not much just a couple mm but is this normal? Its the stock one from mikesxs.

floating calipers are "loose", maybe that is what you are feeling? double check everything is torqued to spec and you aren't missing any parts.

If you apply the brake and it stiffens up then your good to go. The caliper will appear loose because it floats.

They also somtimes make a bit of rattling noise over bumps. If you think you are experiencing this, roll over some bumps with the clutch in and listen. Do it again, with light pressure on the brake lever. If it is a floating caliper, or a floating rotor, it should be quiet with the brake applied any at all.
Noise finding tip!
