I am trying to find a wiring diag
ram of the gauge cluster. Have a few loose wires and need to find out where they go. Thanks.

The forum's tech section, Electrical, has this "Some wiring diagrams" thread.
Should be a '77 diagram in there.

Those gauges are for a 78/79Special.
On the D models wiring, their is a small wire connector from the tower..........This is
Sky blue...........Neutral
Green/White.....Stop lamp fail light
Brown...............Power
Black............... Earth
+3 bullet connector wires.
Dark Green.........Right indicator
Chocolate...........Left indicator
Light Green.........Headlamp high-beam fail light
All other wires are bullet connectors and they go to corresponding colours, Cant really go wrong as they are male bullets...........dark green and Chocolate when dirty look like earth wires, (black), double check and clean
Ignition wires are bullet connectors and they are female except for one Red and this is a male.
Not great pics and the gauge is the rev counter.
Yellow.........High beam warning light.
Blue...........Gauge light
Black.........Earth for all Gauge lights
Speedo
Blue.........Gauge light
Black.......Gauge light
77D Removed the Brake warning light from the rev counter part way through production year.........
