Hello all,

My name's Tuan. I just picked up a running 82 Special and a 77 frame, motor and front end. I have to give credit to this site for helping me make my decision on what bike to get. I've rode sport bikes for over 8 years and looking forward to making the change.

I'm really interested in meeting some local builders.

Welcome aboard....nice platform to work on. The blacked out '82 Heritage Specials are a one year critter. Keep an eye out for charging issues and redundant safety feature fails.

Welcome, I'm in Lakeville, not much of a builder but I have rebuilt my engine and am in the middle of what is turning out to be a two plus year build. There are a few other Minnesota people on the site, glad to have you aboard.

Hello from AZ/MN! Welcome to the forum! I moved to AZ from MN 2 years ago and I still have my XS2 and 79 XS650 special in MN.

Welcome from Louisiana. Moved from MN (Robbinsdale) in August. There are a lot of xs builders in MN. Buddy of mine (in Lakeville) bought my '77 and we chopped it right before we moved. He has a '73 & '77 xs project along with '73cb project going on. In addition to the other two modern bikes in his garage.
