How Do I Lock Crank for Leakdown?

1980 XS. What is the best way to keep the crank from spinning when I do a Leakdown test? Just put it in gear? Any cool tricks? Thanks

Zip tie the bar to something... footpeg, exhaust pipe.... something.

Breaker bar zip tied to side stand worked like a charm. Very good results. About 4% on the left 5% on the right. Just under 10k miles on this bike and it runs great, just thought I'd check it for the heck of it. Thanks for the tips. And...No cats were harmed.
