Ignition Options

Hey all!

I'm building an 82 xs650 and just wanted to hear about some of the aftermarket ignition systems out there.

Look in the "Tech" section..............then look in "Electrical".

The stock TCI has no maintenance, it either works or it doesn't. What exactly are you fussing about?

I typed in "XS650 Ignitions" into Google search on a new page. All the information you will need, and days of reading about the different ignitions will give you more info than you will get out of this thread.

As RG says the Factory electronic ignition is "no maintenance", your first post made it sound like you were always fiddling with it.

Because I've seen some outrageous claims on here I feel the need to add..........
I have a Powerdynamo on my personal XS650 and its the best quality ignition currently made for the XS. Tho they really don't want to build a 277 kit they will.
Also check out Electrex World from Uk, Pamco, and Boyer
IMO they all end up in the same ball park price wise once you purchase a PMA etc.
