The Honda has been taking a beating lately but it just keeps going.
English not being his first language it's hard to know if he was wanting just a souvenir to start with, but 'money' pretty much nailed it. Even with a poor command of English, he knew exactly what that meant.Consequently when she posted a video that stated right in the title that a corrupt police officer tried to extort money from her, the two officers involved were brought before their superiors and summarily dismissed
AFAIK, Nigerians all speak English.English not being his first language it's hard to know if he was wanting just a souvenir to start with, but 'money' pretty much nailed it. Even with a poor command of English, he knew exactly what that meant.
I suppose those Special Conts are paid miserable wages.
To differing degrees.AFAIK, Nigerians all speak English.
I didn’t say they were easy to understand. To differing degrees.
I‘m a pretty polite person by nature, BUT, I’d probably draw the line at the bowl of those grubs. When I travelled to China in 2005 on business, a relative warned me about some of the things that I may be offered for food (meat like items). He was a world traveller himself and advised to tell the hosts in advance, that I was a vegetarian. That way I could survive on vegetables and rice without offending anyone. Worked for me!Those Africans have skills. No supply chains, no grocery stores, yet they appear to thrive. I would get excited about grubs for lunch, but I’d eat them before offending someone. They’re a healthier choice than potato chips.

Yeah. We’re good as long as the trucks keep running. Those folks will still manage just fine. We can take a lesson from Itchy Boots.Yeah…..that was a rough one.
Earlier in this season when she was riding through the sand dunes of Morocco with her guide. And they would stop at every nomads tent and be offered fresh warm camel milk from a community bowl being passed around with what seemed like a hundred flies buzzing around, I would cringe every that happened.
It makes you appreciate how good we have it.
Probably the truest words spoken on this forum, with all due respect to the rest of us. Itchy Boots is a remarkable ambassador of humility, at least as we all see her.Yeah. We’re good as long as the trucks keep running. Those folks will still manage just fine. We can take a lesson from Itchy Boots.
That little Honda is taking a real beating........The Honda has been taking a beating lately but it just keeps going.
Not possible. She needs every bit of ground clearance ant then some. She’s young and strong, doing fine.Maybe lower it a bit?
Dunno... she covered a large part of southern Africa and S America with a Himalayan and did fine with it for the most part.... in spite of the fact that it carries a good hundred lbs. over the little Honda and about 3" less ground clearance. Don't recall her getting high centered to the point she was stuck on it... and the lower CG allowed her to pick it up at least as well as her current bike. The big difference is the Himalayan has about 3" less on seat height. I agree she could easily lower it an inch or two... and still do all the stuff she does. Not possible. She needs every bit of ground clearance ant then some. She’s young and strong, doing fine.
