The pipe I did in fact add as a handhold.Always a tendency for passengers to grab the windshield before. The wheel is what was on it. I agree with you on seemingly a bit to large but fearful of altering until I get a bit more savey of the overall Sidecar experience first.
In California yes, it's expected. It's pretty awesome once you get used to it. Traffic is meaningless when you can split lanes.
I see an XS1 tail, anyone we know?

I want to thank Ray Brown (aka @BlackRabbit18) and friends for showing me a fantastic time yesterday. It would have been tough to pull it off without them. We had a ride up Angeles Crest yesterday.
My photos are pretty lousy. The ride was amazing. I moved the chicken strips on Ashley’s bike. She rented me the bike through RiderShare. Now, off to LAX.

Yeah. The views were spectacular. When we stopped to look. I love a brisk ride on a crooked road.

I did a lot of "Filtering" in my day. I kept my overtaking speed to 15-20 max, figured I could survive that impact. Once traffic was moving 30 mph or so I would blend in. My slower style would turn an hour and a half car commute to 30 -40 minutes on the bike.
Well the air was warm today.
Shaded country roads? Not so much.
A little cabin just a few miles from the ranch.
Was nice to be out on two wheels for a while.

Uly fired right up when the Beemer wouldn't (battery's elderly, parasitic drain)
Mebby 15 miles @ 50F It's running good.
Madness has the back brake apart, and after several hours cleaning and polishing didn't want to get it wet n dirty again.

Took my '79 out to Prairie Siding bridge and back this afternoon. Got a shot of the new guide rail and rick rack erosion control at this curve in the Thames River on a 12C Christmas afternoon. Uncommon weather, but I'll take it.
