Kick start hits brake lever

Hi all,
I bought a new kickstart lever from a supplier over here and it hits the brake lever as it goes down. I haven't got an old one to compare shapes and sizes. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Yeah,my stock kicker hits the rear brake lever some.

This is my sixth XS and I never noticed it on any of the others.

I bought a used kick start lever from a breaker and it turns out that the new one is over 4mm longer on the casting that slides onto the kick start shaft. That is why it is rubbing on the brake lever and foot rest bracket.
