Low fuel / reserve

Hello all.
I’m curious regarding other’s experience as the fuel level draws down to the reserve level. I’m trying to get a sense when my fuel runs low and when to switch to reserve. My TX650 seems to “run rough” due to fuel starvation when fuel level is low (obviously), but switching to reserve doesn’t remedy the situation. It just seems inconsistent even when riding straight and level. Fill the tank and all is well. Obviously, I can keep the tank 1/4 full or better, but interested in other’s experiences.

Stock petcock? Have you checked your screen inside the tank?

Start setting your trip meter to zero on a fill up, it won't take long to figure when you should either gas up again or switch to reserve.
