Thought the garage appropriate for this trial period.
The guides for early adaptors to try and report back on have all been spoken for.
Guides are now available for purchase in the classifieds.

Background
A long time midwest aftermarket XS650 parts vendor has commissioned a new supplier to make Yamaha Part # front stop.
I bought a batch of ten to look at and sell to forum members for Beta testing.
They pass my initial look see comparison with factory guides and a MikesXS guide.
These are made in Taiwan vs. China

Got out some tools and a cylinder, they seem to be dimensionally identical and fit properly, no issues with threads etc. I checked three out of the ten I have. The rubber insert seems to be about the same durometer hardness as the MikesXS part i.e. fingernail dent test. (The mikes guide has been on my shelf for several years.)
Parts look to have been media blasted after manufacture. They have a uniform texture everywhere including in the threaded holes. Bolts threaded in with only slight resistance the first time, subsequent threading, unthreading was easy. Threads looked uniform and well shaped not ragged or deformed.
So here's the deal; we want these to get tested! All the initial batch is sold out Garry Hoos (Hoos Racing) is offering guides for sale in the classifieds. http://www.xs650.com/threads/new-front-guide-stopper.56531/
Some random pics.
Used guides - AFAIK OEM I removed from engines
M - a guide from MikesXS
H - the new guide from Taiwan
Checking true on the threaded holes;
all three here are H "new production"
mix of used, mikes, and H
Near as I can tell all the drilled bolt holes are ~ between Y and H. I had previously chased the threads in that Mike's guide with a tap.
The H guides bolted into a used cylinder with no problems.
Hoos racing is now offering these at a very attractive price in the classifieds.

Reports of installs and serviceability are WANTED!
