The metal for the frame jig is here so I need a table for it to sit on. I cobbled together this crude little bench this morning using only what wood I had here without going to the lumber yard. Basic 2X4 frame and legs and a birch top. I painted the frame and legs with a oil base gray and finished the top with brushing lacquer. The birch top had a nice pattern to it. I have trim for the edge of the top and I`ll use brass corners. I`ll probably put some metal leg glides and that`s all it`s getting out of me. (or at least till I think of something else).

Nice, that’s looks better than my dining room table!

The stand (bench) for the frame fixture (jig) wasn`t good enough so I added a cross brace between each leg and installed the trim for the edge of the top and added the brass corner protectors. Waiting on the metal leg slides to arrive then it goes to the garage for the frame jig to sit on. I got the rectangle tubing cut to size (larger-longer) and each tube edges rounded and deburred. Welded and ready for the fixture`s.

Yeah Buddy. Frame jig`s to make, parts to buy, bikes to build, clubs to join, license`s to get, tee-shirts to buy and the list goes on and on with no end in sight. Most of all, spend money I shouldn`t. I`m Pro at it though with years of experience to rely on.:shootme:

I put some non-slip silicone rubber on the bottom of 4 washers to sit the adjuster bolts in and leveled and squared the frame jig. The table worked out great but I should have made it 10' rather than 8'. Oh well it will do for now. The Chop Source neck and axle fixtures shipped out today so maybe I can get started on the frame even if it feels like -175 below zero in the shop.🌨️🥶

The neck fixture and axle fixture arrived today. Usually when I get something someone else has manufactured I can immediately find fault or improvements to be made. Well I`ve met my match on this one. This stuff is about 10 shades beyond perfect.:yikes: All I have to do is bolt it together and start building.

The tubing arrived today and is laying on the frame jig. If this was a FB ad it would be 99% done. Just needs a little TLC. TC Bros had this tubing for 15% off and free shipping on Oct 31 only. Half of what I can buy it for locally. 2 day free shipping is hard to beat.
