Yes you are correct Tech7 "... And Jim, your bike wasn't exactly stock! " I'd like to have a perfect survivor or a restored stock bike if I could afford to have a collection of bikes. Since I'm limitied by funds I can't afford to have one to look at and occasionally ride (stock) and one personalize and rip around on.
Although I do admire bikes in there pure form I have this need to bring them up to modern standards and create the bike I think the manufacturer should have made.
I try to imagine how the XS if continued in production would have looked like today. Maybe something like the Triumph Street Triple following in the British bike evolution, but it'd have to be a parrallel twin. That was my vision for the XSRoadster.
