This is a stupid question but, the use of a one-piece pushrod on a later model machine still requires the use of (2) ball bearings, correct? One in the motor and one cam actuator?
Yes, you will be replacing the current two rods with a ball in between them with the long rod. The long rod still requires a ball at each end, one in the motor and one in the worm gear. Save that ball you free up as a spare for the other two in case you ever lose one of them (usually the one in the worm gear falls out during side cover removal). They're all the same size (5/16").
