Passenger Peg Locations - Model Differences

I have an '81 special. I've been in discussion with someone on the other side of the country about getting custom exhaust made. He does not have an '81 special frame. He has a '75 standard frame. The passenger peg and muffler mounting points are different. The '81 has two studs: one for the passenger peg (rear of the two), the other for the muffler mount (forward of the two). The '75 only has a rear peg mount.

We are discussing the potential issue of clearing the passenger pegs with the mufflers. Does anyone know if the passenger pegs end up in the same position, with the different mounts?

Just trying to ensure that my mufflers clear the passenger peg.

I think the special frame's passenger peg is lower. The frame lengths are the same, but the special's frame is shorter...and looks like the passenger peg sits a little lower.

Perhaps someone has the exact measurements?
