I just bought a 72 xs2 and fork seals needed replacing. I replaced them using 15w fork oil and now they dive when I hit the brakes and do not return until I stop and pull up on the bars.
They were returning to the original position before. I was diligent about order and pieces.
Is there any tricks I am missing?
So mystery pump or something?
haha

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanx

You probably bolted everything back together incorrectly, causing the forks to bind. Usually, after assembling everything loose, you pump the forks up and down several times to align things, then start tightening stuff from the top down. Install the fender last after everything else is tight.

So after close investigation, I found that I have a bent inner tube. :( I got it to work for now but I do need to replace it.

Saying that, Anyone have a 34 mm inner tube for a 72 xs2b and the cap/washer?

Thanx for all the suggestions.
