Retarding a Pamco

Must have been a long day for you yesterday! :doh: The cam shaft rotates in the counterclockwise direction when viewed from the left (points) side of the bike. If you want the spark to occur later, then you would rotate the points plate in the same direction as the rotation of the cam which is counterclockwise...:)

Silly question; This is the same for a rephased motor correct?
 
No silly questions, but yes... You are using a timing light, and have a proper TDC mark on the charging system correct?

Oh yeah. All good there, just got a bad kick back on another motor. Said motor is sans starter so want to remove that super advance before getting it running again the hard way.
