I recall reading somewhere that there is a brake rotor that has a 1-2mm smaller disk thickness but same diameter and offset as the xs.

Does anyone know what model and year this would be from? Thanks.

The SR500 is one. It's 5mm thick but the same as the 7mm thick 650 disc in all other ways. The disc was slimmed by removing 1mm from the front and back of the pad surface. Offset to the centerline is the same as the 650. Your caliper will self-adjust to it automatically.

I sell Dual Disc Brake Kits for the XS650 and found the best setup is the Slotted Rotors from the XJ750 Seca . . . Same diameter, offset, 5MM thick and made of better metal composite . . .

I only sell in the dual disc kits --- mainly because I really scrounge to find the rotors at a low enough price that I can put a kit together at a very reasonable rate . . .
I never have disc just sitting around . . .
