su carb conversion

How would that first one mount? I would think it would run straight into the backbone. That second set is just plain wicked though

- the SU could be from a sidecross bike or maybe they used a double cradle frame

- supposed to increase torque at the expense of top end rpm...one of the supposed differences between a tiger and a bonneville...looking for a different performance profile

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I don't think that makes sense. Horsepower, as I understand it, is torque x RPM (divided by... 5250 I think?), so increasing torque will increase horsepower at a given, same rpm.

- yes, i meant drehzahl...rpm in particular in the upper ranges...have corrected

wow. nice bike in that second link. excellent polish work.
Unfortunately, looks like the parts they send are not polished. Yuo'd think for that amount of jingle, they could throw it under a wheel, eh?

Seems like a terrible idea. I have had a lot of SU carbs on different cars and they are always a PITA.

Our Mikunis our much easier to work on.
