The bike you wish you still had

Would have been nice to still own this. Guzzi 1000SP, took me all over Europe. Most comfy bike I ever owned.

Blaming @gggGary for this one. Looking at his lil' red roadster, kinda wish I still had the 1973 Mk IIa 850 roadster.

Of course I did the right thing when I sold it. But would love to have it back right now, knowing a wee bit more about what it needs and how to do it. Riding the Commando it's just so different from riding anything available now - loose, smooth, relaxed, small, well for an 850 it is.

Don't have any pictures of that bike.

Had the '73 (4..?) 850 with the Interpol package. And that huge friggin 7gal tank. But I'd happily welcome it back into the fold.

Unlike you Raymond, I've got a pic. Sort of..... a neighbor snapped this just after I shot it. :wink2:

1978 I believe, I got it for 700$ from a guy in Portland about 2 hours from where I live. When I got there He told me I could buy it but I had to take all his extra parts which was basically another bike minus the frame. His wife was outside making sure that he put every piece in the back of my Tacoma. I don't think he had a choice in the matter. She stood there with her arms crosses tapping one foot with an irritated look on her face, it was awkward. It was the first one that got running, only one I ever drove around. It had 8000 miles on it, I didn't realize how good of shape it was in at the time.moto_0294.jpg moto_02991.jpgAt least I didn't chop it

moto_0716.jpgFound another picture of it with those tracker bars I mentioned in another post. That's when I found out that stock switches won't work on powder coated bars. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. They did look cool on it though.
