I have a 77 I picked up for cheap. Wasn't running. I have it running but I believe timing is 180 out of wack. Only think that because I need to have my spark plug wires crossed for it to start. What do I need to do to get the timing right. And no I'm not going to run the pamco in it till I know there is no other problems. Thanks for the help!

Has nothing to do with timing, just crossed wires at the points. Swap the wires under the points cover going to each points assembly to fix. However, this is a waste of time if you are putting on a Pamco -- there is really nothing wrong with your ignition, and the Pamco doesn't care about how your points are wired.

Where the wires from the points plug into the bikes harness, swap them. Orange and grey wires.

Yeah, Leo's fix is an easier swap then mine. And, BTW, after further thought, it is possible that your advance rod is 180 degrees out, but again, it really doesn't matter, just swap wires as Leo said, or just put the Pamco on, it will work fine.
