Hey Ya'll. I just found the site and I thought I might join in the fun.
I started collecting together pieces I needed for a bobber idea that I have had in my head for a while. It started out as a panhead with a springfork but Jeeez, who has that kind of money these days? Then I saw one of these XS650 bobbers and I thought that this would be cool. Later I found an engine for sale on C'list in Nashville. I offered the guy $40 and he took it. At a swap meet, I picked up a rear wheel with a drum brake.
Can someone tell me how to identify what year this motor is?
